Efficient warehouse logistics – SAP EWM UX optimized
Especially in online retailing, time and efficiency play a significant role in the area of warehousing and logistics. Frustrated employees due to, for example, frequent disconnections during goods receipt or picking are of little help in this regard. With the discontinuation of Windows CE for mobile devices, home24 was also faced with the challenge of finding a future-proof solution for the mobile SAP EWM processes.
home24 opted for the Mobisys Solution Builder (MSB) to optimize the mobile SAP EWM processes in its three German logistics centers.

EWM processes UX-optimized
Time and efficiency play an important role in warehouse and logistics, especially in online trade. Frustrated employees because of frequent disconnections during goods receipt or picking, are of little use here. With the discontinuation of Windows CE for mobile end devices, home24 also faced the challenge of finding a future-proof solution for the mobile SAP EWM processes
The focus was on the following requirements:
- Stable solution without breaking connections
- Better usability
- Existing SAP processes can still be used, little development effort
- MDM & cross-platform compatibility – hybrid device landscape
This was implemented:
Home24 chose Mobisys Solution Builder (MSB) to optimize the mobile SAP EWM processes in the company’s three German logistics centers. One Benefit of MSB: The existing, customized EWM processes in the RF environment can still be used. With MSB Screen Designer, the mobile user interfaces could be easily adapted with little developer effort. In addition to the design in the corporate colors of home24, speaking field names and reference texts in particular provided a user-friendly solution.
MSB enables a gradual transition from Windows to Android devices without any problems. The applications look the same on all devices, regardless of the operating system. This also opens the way to new technologies, e.g. time and path optimization with the help of back-of-hand scanners or tablets for forklift drivers.
- All SAP EWM processes are mobilized with MSB, such as goods receipt,
picking, replenishment, loading, etc. - Rollout in three locations with a total of 300 Windows CE devices
