Martin Bauer Group optimizes SAP logistics processes with MSB
The family-owned company is characterized by a value-oriented, long-term corporate strategy. This was also reflected in the selection process for the 2016 mobile solution. With MSB, the holding company opted for an expandable and future-oriented software. Above all, the flexibility in terms of individual processes and the clear interface design convinced the company. mobisys also supported the Martin Bauer Group in the conception and optimization of the individual processes. Currently, about 40 transactions are used in the areas of materials management, warehouse management, production, sales & shipping, maintenance and quality management.

Since 1930, the Martin Bauer Group has stood for expertise in plant-based products that is unique worldwide. In collaboration with its customers, it develops customized solutions for the tea, beverage, food and animal nutrition industries. It is part of the nature network®, a fourth-generation family business with more than 25 production and distribution sites worldwide.
The Hidden Champion, headquartered in Vestenbergsgreuth not far from Nuremberg, decided to map its mobile processes with the SAP add-on from mobisys, the MSB (Mobisys Solution Builder), as part of an SAP implementation project
The company faced the following challenges:
- Complex warehouse structure: More than 25 locations worldwide
- Complex, industry-specific processes (e.g. consistent batch management and handling units)
- Lack of transparency: high warehouse stock and stock transfer processes
- Lack of master data quality and label information
- High error rate in postings due to lack of system integration
