Step 1
Modeling User Interfaces & Workflow Logic
With the MSB nova Design Platform, you can create mobile applications in a visual and structured manner. Screens, dialogs and complete workflows are modeled graphically and assembled into an application – without device-specific programming.
The MSB nova Design platform runs outside the SAP system. User guidance, screen sequences, and validations are created to run on the client-side within the app.

Step 2
Integration of SAP Business Logic
The business-specific posting logic remains consistent within the SAP system via ABAP classes and SAP APIs. In the Design Platform, the required fields and variables are then linked to the SAP classes via data binding. The mobile application is unaware of any SAP implementation details – it simply passes data and calls defined logic.
Important for the Clean Core approach:
- The MSB nova Add-On is directly integrated into SAP and is fully Clean Core
(Level A) certified - The MSB nova Design Platform and MSB nova App communicate exclusively with the MSB nova Add-On
- For customer-side SAP developments, ATC checks are available to verify that your own code meets Clean Core requirements
Step 3
Execution on Mobile Devices
The finished applications run via the MSB nova App. The MSB nova App loads complete applications and executes screen logic and process control locally. Communication with SAP occurs only during actual posting or backend steps.
The following are supported:
- Smartphones and tablets
- Industrial MDCs and rugged devices
- Various operating systems
In addition, typical hardware functions such as scanners or cameras are available – depending on the use case.
